Academies to Work - Free Training Opportunities

The Workforce Development & Community Initiatives at Denver Housing Authority will be offering free training opportunities through our Academies to Work program. You do not have to be a DHA resident, there is childcare and transportation assistance available for those who are eligible.  After completion of programs, if a job is attained there may be some temporary transportation assistance available as well.​

Light Industrial Construction Academy
Two Sessions: October 10th – 17th & October 31st – November 8th
Participants will receive upon completion: Forklift Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, & Flagger Certification

Health Pre-Professional Occupations Academy
October 29th – November 16th 10:00am – 2:00pm
Participants will receive upon completion: CPR/First Aid Certification, Bloodborne Pathogens Certification, & ADA Certification
 
Administrative Professional/Customer Service Academy
October 29th – November 16th 9:30am – 1:30pm
Participants will receive upon completion:

Retail Management Academy
November 26th – December 14th 9:30am – 1:30pm
Participants will receive upon completion: National Retail Federation (NRF) Certification

Certified Medical Administrative Assistant Academy
November 26th – December 21st 10:00am – 2:30pm
Participants will receive upon completion: National Career Health Association Certification, which is NCCA Accredited Program.
