Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Location: Johnson Habitat Park, 610 S. Jason Street, Denver CO, 80223 Join the Athmar Living Coalition for a walk along the South Platte River Trail to learn the myths and legends of the animals that live near the river and discover some of the creatures in the wild! We’ll return to the SPREE Center at Johnson Habitat Park for animal crafts and pizza. The evening will end with a bonfire and s’mores by the river! Kids of all ages are welcome – please bring a stroller for the little ones. The event is bilingual in Spanish and English, and interpretation in American Sign Language and other languages available upon request. The event is free and registration is limited. The majority of the participants were nominated from the elementary schools in Athmar Park, but we left some spots open for our Active Living Coalition mailing list. RSVP today to reserve a spot for you and your family! If you don't have kids, but want to help out, please reply to APActiveLivingCoalition@gmail.com to volunteer. We need volunteers to help with sign in, distributing pizza and s'mores ingredients, helping with activities, interpreting in Spanish and getting feedback from parents for our Active Living Plan. This event is organized by the Athmar Park Active Living Coalition, The Audubon Society of Greater Denver and the Greenway Foundation.
