The City and County of Denver is hosting three neighborhood meetings during a 45-day public comment period on the draft of Housing an Inclusive Denver, the city’s new five-year housing policy, strategy and investment plan. The draft plan is available online in English and Spanish at denvergov.org/housing, and feedback may be provided electronically in both languages as well.

The three community meetings will be held as follows:

Wednesday, October 25
6-8 p.m.
Colorado Health Foundation
1780 Pennsylvania St., 80203

Wednesday, November 1
6-8 p.m.
Servicios de La Raza
3131 W. 14th Ave., 80204

Wednesday, November 8
6-8 p.m.
Calvary Baptist Church of Denver
6500 E. Girard Ave., 80224

The plan outlines strategies to create and preserve strong neighborhoods with diverse housing options that are accessible and affordable to all Denver residents.

Denver’s Housing Advisory Committee, the Office of Housing & Opportunities for People Everywhere (HOPE), Denver’s Road Home and the Office of Economic Development are working collaboratively on the plan, which will be presented to City Council for subsequent approval after the public comment period is completed on November 13, 2017.

Housing an Inclusive Denver aligns the city’s investment strategies along the entire continuum of housing need from homelessness to homeownership. The plan and its accompanying annual action plans are meant to be flexible, living documents that serve to guide the city’s investments, strategies and policies through future changes to Denver’s housing market.

The community meetings will include light refreshments, Spanish translation and free child care. Additional translation services will be available upon request to 720-913-1999.
