WHO: Denver Animal Protection (DAP) veterinarians and staff, residents of 80219 and 80204, and their pets. A resource fair will also feature organizations, such as Denver Metro CAT and Colorado Pet Food Pantry.
WHAT: DAP providing free pet vaccinations, licenses, tags, and pet care supplies (collars, leashes, etc.) WHEN: Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. WHERE: Monroe Elementary School, 3440 W Virginia Ave WHY: The Pets for Life program supports pet-owners in underserved neighborhoods by providing needed veterinary care and other services to help pet owners keep their pets, and reduce the number of animals entering shelters. Denver Animal Protection (DAP) provides animal care and protection services which protect the health, public safety and welfare of both people and animals in Denver County. DAP operates Denver Animal Shelter (DAS), an open-admissions shelter that is home to more than 6,700 lost and abandoned pets each year.
