Committee No District 7 specific items Zoning No District 7 specific items Board of Adjustments No District 7 specific items To increase the number of officers patrolling our neighborhoods, the Denver Police Department has implemented new hours of operation for the front desks at its six District Stations. Beginning January 1, 2019, the District Station front desks will close between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Currently, an officer is posted at each of the six District Station front desks 24 hours a day, 7 day a week, to assist the public with walk-in reports and phone inquiries. With these new hours of operation, the officers who would normally be posted to the front desks during those hours will be assigned to a patrol car, allowing for more officers to respond to calls for service. Anyone needing police services between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. should call 911 for emergencies or 720-913-2000 for non-emergency situations. The Denver Police Department also accepts online reports for certain types of crimes at www.Denvergov.org/police. A Water main and service line replacement project is scheduled to begin in the next two weeks on west Clay Street from Jewell Avenue to Asbury Avenue.
Letters and door hangers have been distributed to all residents and businesses in the project areas. We anticipate this project will take about one month to complete. Crews will do their best to complete the project as scheduled; however, projects are occasionally delayed by unmarked underground utilities, weather and emergency water main breaks. Water service emergencies, such as main breaks in other parts of Denver Water’s system may take precedence over this project. The crew may leave at a moment’s notice to work on those emergencies and may not return the following day. As pipe replacement projects occur in your district, Denver Water will send your office notice that a door hanger was distributed to customers in the project area. All permits and traffic plans have been approved by the city. Denver Water crews install or replace an average of 60,000 feet of pipe a year. Additional information on pipe replacement projects can be found at www.denverwater.org/pipes December 17 - 21:
