Register to Recycle your Electronics

4/6/2017

Here's another way to be "green" today…recycle! Denver residents can register now to take their unwanted electronics to Denver’s Electronics Recycling Collection Event on Saturday, April 15 at Metech Recycling (500 W. 53rd Place). Registration is required to participate - Denver residents can make an appointment online at https://april15-ecycle.eventbrite.com.

The event offers a significantly discounted recycling fee of $5 per vehicle or $10 for each television or monitor. Typically, the cost to recycle a television or monitor can range from $25 to $75 per unit!

  • Items Accepted For Recycling: Televisions (no size limit), monitors, CPUs, laptops, printers, scanners, faxes, keyboards, mice, stereos, external hard drives & storage devices, cellular phones, telephones, DVRs, VCRs, digital cameras, video recorders, MP3 players, video game consoles, wires, cables, rechargeable batteries, and some small appliances such as microwaves.
  • Items NOT Accepted: Air conditioners, refrigerators, large appliances, coffee makers, vacuums, blenders, toasters, smoke or carbon monoxide detectors, pressurized canisters, oil or gas devices, fluorescent bulbs, neon signs, car batteries, small button batteries or household batteries (rechargeable batteries are okay).

Please note, commercial or business recycling will not be allowed, and Denver residents must show proof of residency to participate.

Denver residents who are not able to attend this event can call 311 or visit denvergov.org/ecycle, to request an E-Cycle coupon and receive more information about other electronic recycling drop-off options. In the state of Colorado, disposing electronics in landfills is illegal.

This event is sponsored by Metech Recycling, Denver Public Works, Denver Recycles, and Denver Environmental Health.
