Sanderson Gulch Construction Update

Relocation of the Denver Water line and utility line is proceeding uninterrupted. Northbound traffic on S. Platte River Drive at W. Florida Avenue will continue to be closed, with a detour to S. Lipan Street. The timing of the traffic lights at S. Platte River Drive and W. Florida Avenue has been adjusted to move traffic more efficiently.

Arborists have begun to remove vegetation and select trees along Sanderson Gulch in preparation for future improvements to the gulch. Soil sampling will begin in the southeast portion of Sanderson Gulch Park near the intersection of S. Lipan Street and W. Arkansas Avenue.  Residents and business owners may notice heavy equipment drilling to collect soil samples. There will be minor traffic delays along S. Lipan Street and W. Arkansas Avenue, flaggers will be onsite.
