Denver’s residential street sweeping program begins on Tuesday, April 3, and Denver Public Works is urging residents to SHOW YOUR PRIDE AND MOVE YOUR RIDE on your sweeping day to help keep Denver’s streets, air and water clean.
Denver’s residential sweeping program promotes a clean and healthy environment by removing dirt, leaves, and debris from the streets. Last year, crews collected more than 62,000 cubic yards of pollutants - that’s enough to fill Coors Field with a pile of dirt and debris stacked almost 12 feet high! During street sweeping season, residents should follow the parking restrictions posted on the red and white signs on their block and move their vehicles accordingly to avoid a $50.00 citation and allow the street sweepers to get all the way to the curb and provide the best service possible. Remember to always follow the sweeping time restrictions on your block from April through November and refrain from parking during the restricted times, even if it appears a sweeper has already cleaned the street, as sweepers may need to return to the area for additional sweeping. Want a reminder about your street sweeping day?
